The Lustgarten Foundation breaks attendance records as 6,000 people join together for Long Island Walk

October 9 Walk Raises Nearly $1 Million; 100% Will Go Directly to Research

Held on October 9 at Jones Beach, Long Island, The Lustgarten Foundation's 11th annual Long Island Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk attracted a record-breaking 6,000 participants and raised nearly one million dollars. Local New York tri-state-area residents whose lives have been impacted by pancreatic cancer joined together with the Foundation to raise money and awareness for America's most lethal cancer. Participants chose between a one- and three-mile walk along Jones Beach's scenic boardwalk. And 100 percent of every dollar they raised will go directly to pancreatic cancer research, thanks to Cablevision's support of the Foundation.
