My late husband Randy inspired millions with The Last Lecture. He brought magic into my life. I didn't know anything about pancreatic cancer before Randy was diagnosed with it. Suddenly, my dreams were completely shattered. I was going to lose my husband, my best friend and the father of my three children. Pancreatic cancer took him from me and our family when he was only 47. We miss him every day. I believe we can find a cure.
My husband Don Hewitt created the television program, "60 Minutes". People loved him for that. And of course, I loved him too. When we found out that Don had pancreatic cancer we knew what it meant. There is no cure. That's why I'm dedicated to fighting this terrible disease. Don was an optimist. So am I. We believe researchers will find a cure.
